Required Document

Minumum Requirement

1. Online Application Form
2. One ID Photo (attached to the online application forms)
3. A copy of current passport (information page with photo)
4. A Diploma or Certificate of Graduation from the applicant’s most recent academic background. <If the document is in a foreign language other than English, Chinese, or Japanese, attach an English or Korean translation and a translator’s confirmation).
5. Copy of the front and back of the Alien Registration Card (only for the holders).

Additional Documents (D-4 Visa)

After reviewing online, we will request the original documents be sent to the students who got accepted.

1. For Studentswho do not need a D4 Visa, use Minimum Required documents.
2. For Studentd who need a D-4 Visa, Minimum 2 terms of registration required.
3. Bank Statement, at least USD 10.000.(Student must submit the bank statements issued within 30days of the visa application date).
4. If the document is in foreign language other than English, Chinese, or Japanese, attach an English or Korean translation and a translator’s confirmation.
5. Family Certificate(Birth certificate) should be submitted if the account is under ten name of parents.
6. The financial statement proving the balance of assets such as stocks,bonds, equities is not allowed.
7. The Bank statement should show at least 10.000 USD in one saving account.
8. After scan is submitted online, the original copy must be sent to KLEC by express post.
9. An apostille or notarization of Korean consulate abroad for graduation certificate.

Degree and educational background documentation with apostille verification from your government or notarized from the Korean Consulate if the country of your educational background is not one of the Apostille Convention joined countries.

10. After submitting an online copy of the apostille document issued within six months of the application date, the original should be sent to the Korean Language Education Center by mail after acceptance. (After reviewing online, the person in charge will request documents to be sent)

* If graduated from a country other than where the applicant is located, the Apostille/consular certification must be obtained from the country of the school’s location.

11. Original documents submitted will not be returned to the student for any reason as the school has a legal obligation to keep them permanently. Therefore, it is recommended to get an apostille/consular certification on your certified copy of diploma.

Next step in the application is only available after evaluation of original copies: bank statement, graduation certificate, Apostille/Korean consular certification.
